Don't think I've taken the opportunity to use this to have a good rant!!
I took my Labradour for a walk, and reaslised that people who leave their gates open should be fined! I say this because these people will never have a little Chihuahua or a Jack Russell and leave them to roam the roads..no, people who leave their gates open will always have a bear! There's nothing worse than walking your elderly Lab and see a freaking monster running down the driveway toward you.
Silly rant, I know, but people leaving their gates open is the exact reason why I was attacked by a German Shepard when I was 8. So yeah, I think I have ground to stand on =P
These are the types of dogs I'm talking about.....but not really =P

Old Pictures
So, these are my favourite slides so far;
First one is my uncle (the clown, who even has ginger hair), at his 6th birthday.
The second one is my Great Grandfather, Bank (in the hat) and his friend.
Apparently him and I are very similar. I never met him, but he was also fascinated with taking photographs and he also hated to be in the photographs.
This is my Dad and my Uncle. Dad is about 8, uncle is about 4. The funny thing is that I could recreate this picture because their sons are about this age now, and look exactly the same as they did.
The first one is my Gran, a bride's maid.
The second one is my Dad and his pooch.
This is Bank at Stone Henge, about 1962 or so.

Slides
This is my Slide projector that my Great Gran gave me. My Dad and I repaired it the other day, cos the plastic slides are pretty brittle, and one got jammed.
with the slide projector, I was given about 500 slides...some of my family, some of my Great Grandfather's travels.
So I have slides of New York in the 60's, London in the 70's...all sorts
And for those of you that don't know what a slide looks like:
Opposed to negatives(I'm taking these negatives to get developed later and see what's on them):

Yeah, Post!!!
I really like getting post (when it's not from UNISA)
and recently I made my first internet purchases, it was very exciting.
So now I have officially become an internet shopper! (took me a while, I know)
I bought a second battery for my little camera. These batteries are like R300 in stores, got this one for R75.
and yes, it works.
And I got a light mixer 630 for R185
no, I'm not sure if it works.
♥ for internet shopping

Postcard Love
These are my favourite postcards that I chose from my Great Gran's collection.
My Great Grandfather, Bank, travelled the world and sent back over 500 postcards, one from each place he visited.
I'm not too sure where I have put the majority of these, I think my Gran may have them, but these are some of my favourites.
If you click of the pictures, it'll take you to my Flickr page where information of each postcard is available.

Sentimental Heart
When my Great Grandmother died in 2002, I inherited some beautiful items that I chose myself.
But in true style of Amy-Sue, I didn't choose anything of monetary value. I chose postcards, slide projectors, slides and porcelain figures. So I will dedicated a few blogs to the things I chose.

Soccer Sundays
Sundays, I watch my brother play soccer.
they aren't very good. But the team is pretty close, and the family members have all become good mates.
so every game is really fun, even if we lose most of the time.
I spend most of the afternoon with these guys.
they kinda like to run on the field during games.

Hibernation
I am going into hibernation until 13th May
Do not expect to hear from me
and do not try to tempt me from my books
(this plan has proven to result in bouts of grumpiness)
Exams are upon us, and I don't know how they caught me off guard again
See ya in a week or so
Until then, I like to think of how I will spend my 2 month holiday
I'm gonna start by raiding a fabric store, and making these
